Good stuff, I really hope the nhl get their heads right and not screw up the Olympics again...give fans what they want...it's good business. |

The olympics might be what most people want to see, but these days it's all about the money first and risking assets without insurance is not good business. I hope something can get worked out.
Furthermore, players are not machines and I think their performance for the home fans in the city they play in has to suffer with so many games to play and the compressed schedule. And that's not good value for the ticket holders. Olympics or not, they still have to play too many games, but that's never going to be a consideration. |

It seems the nhl is hell bent on shooting itself in the foot,
Just drop some regular season games. Make up those monies somewhere, somehow. licensing fee's, tv money, there's enough cash to go around.
maybe powers that be just don't want to put in the work (or pay for it).
Whatever the case, the league is littered with young great players, maybe a good idea to showcase them.. |
